Heriz rugs are expertly crafted textiles from Heris in northwest Iran, near Tabriz. These durable carpets, known for lasting multiple generations, are produced in a village at the base of Mount Sabalan. The designs typically include bold geometric patterns and a central medallion, giving each rug a unique and striking appearance. Usually they are loosely knotted from 40 to 100 knots per inch. However, this particular one is very fine and luxurious made with handspun wool and natural dyes.
