This hand knotted beauty is a modern version of the typical Afghan style rug known as the Ersari. Woven by Turkoman tribes, these original rugs were made with geometrical designs which varied from each tribe. The best part of these rugs are their irregularities and also a great part of their charm. Named after the Central Asian city of Khiva, this rug has a great deal of color pop that you wouldn’t see in the typical Ersari rugs. Much like the city of Khiva, there’s great history and color.
