These hand knotted beautify is a modern version of the typical Afghan style rug known as the Ersari, woven by Turkoman tribes. This rug has a very orangey-red base color. Named after the Central Asian city of Khiva, this rug has a great deal of color pop that you wouldn't see in the typical Ersari rugs. Much like the city of Khiva, there's great history and color.
