The word Nooristan translates to “land of illumination”.  It is one of the 34 provinces found in Eastern Afghanistan.  Considered to be descendants of the armies of Alexander the Great, the Nooristan peoples are known as excellent crafts people who have mastered the art of weaving.  Ruby Rugs Nooristan rugs are very fine quality carpets made with gorgeous natural dyes and 100% handspun wool.  Their patterns are refined with an exquisite weave, and considered to be one of the more luxurious rugs.  You can see and feel for yourself in our beautiful showroom.
