The Faryab rug is named after one of the most peaceful provinces in Afghanistan. The Turkoman Aryana weavers migrated to this northern area near the Turkmenistan border. This was a way to avoid wars in Turkmenistan. While we call this a Faryab rug, we can also distinguish it as a nomadic Turkman style rug. These rugs are made with beautiful abrash, handspun wool and natural dyes. Faryab rugs have bold colors and beautiful designs. The art lover will love these tribal weaves.
