The original Oushak carpet was woven in Turkey, named after the city of Usak. Located in western Anatolia, Usak was a major center of rug production during the Ottoman empire. There are many masterpieces of the 15^th and 16^th century, born from the Oushak. The Oushak area rug is considered to be a fine oriental area rug and loved by many.  This carpet to be easy on the eyes and luxurious to walk on.  Typically the wool of the Oushak rug is very luminous. It is made with 100% handspun wool and natural dyes.
