Originally made from the Qashqai nomads tribal weavers in the Zagros mountains, the gabbeh rug is loved all around the world and known for its tribal and contemporary looks. The Kurds, Lurs and Bhaktiaris were also known to create these beautiful rugs. The Persian word “gabbeh” means raw or natural and implies a rug that is more tribal, and coarsely knotted.
