The Shaal area rug, originally inspired from the Islamic Bakhtiari striped Muharramat designed rugs, are striking carpets with great appeal.  One of their beautiful characteristics is in the finishing with wrapped tassle fringes.  The always multi-colored Shaal area rug contains an amazing palette of red, blue, gold, green and brown.  Although considered to be a tribal area rug, the stripes provide a contemporary look and feel.  Made with 100% handspun wool and natural dyes.
