In the late 1800’s, William Morris, a renaissance man, lead the way to the “Arts & Crafts” movement which lasted 30 years. The intention of the design was a backlash of the industrial revolution and to return to the days of handmade goods. Mr. Morris created looms and dyes, reviving natural dye from the indigo plant and madder root plants. His designs were very popular during the late Victorian era and blended nicely with the Art-Nouveau movement from France. Made with 100% handspun wool and natural dyes.
