Pronounced as “bell-jick”, they are considered to be one of the most fine of tribal area rugs originally from Afghanistan. They were likely named because the wool was from Belgium. With varying shades of deep red, black or blues, these gorgeous rugs are made with finely spun wool. Beljik rugs are known for their ultra-lustrous pile, intricate patterns and high knot count of over 400 knots per square inch. Only the wool from the belly of the sheep are used, which makes these rugs somewhat more costly than others. Visit our showroom to see more Beljik rugs!
